Following the BRICS meeting in Xiamen, on the margins of which was held the meeting of the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin and the Chairman of the People's Republic of China Xi Jinping, in the Hero-City of Volgograd, a regular meeting of the co-chairs of the Russian-Chinese Commission to prepare regular meetings of the heads of government was held.
Co-chairs of the Commission Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Rogozin and Deputy Premier of the State Council of the People's Republic of China Wang Yang noted the importance of the practical implementation of the agreements reached by the heads of state.
During the meeting in a narrow circle, the co-chairs of the Sino-Russian Prime Minister's Regular Meeting Committee has positively affirmed the implementation of the Sino-Russian New Land Grain Corridor project, which includes the construction of grain terminal project on the territory of Sino-Russian borders.
The parties also held an in-depth and frank exchange of views on cooperation in such areas as nuclear energy, space exploration, agriculture, the Arctic, civil aviation and the digital economy.
The next 22nd meeting of the heads of government of China and Russia, Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev and Premier of the State Council of China Li Keqiang is scheduled for November 2017 in China.
